Had a team lunch here recently, and the food itself is really good. Favourite menu item was definitely the biryani. It was full of spice and flavour, and the mutton was just so good. The mango lassi was thick and sweet, it was lovely. Other items on the menu was also really good, the naan was definitely noteworthy. Service was also really good, no issues at all. All in all, I'd say food wise is a proper good place, but the atmosphere is a bit dark for my liking. The smoke from the food did engulf the entire space, so its not as polished of a restaurant, but the heritage is definitely there. We also grab-ed to the restaurant, and upon arrival there's really not much parking space either. So in short, food was delicious, service was phenomenal, atmosphere could do a bit more with lights to brighten the restaurant. At the end of the day, we all went back to office with a food coma

I’ve been ordering from Sagar for years now, and the food has never been disappointing. From veg to non-veg, I’ve tried almost everything on the menu. A few days ago, I visited to dine in and decided to try their Chinese menu. While the North Indian items were a hit, the Chinese dishes unfortunately were not. We ordered the Veg Hakka Noodles and Chilli Chicken. The noodles had very few vegetables and a slippery texture; it felt as though they had used pasta instead of actual noodles. I haven't encountered this type of texture in noodles anywhere else globally. The Chilli Chicken, however, was good and I have no complaints there. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, and the staff is courteous and helpful as well.

Lovely Indian restaurant, food are all on point on taste and flavor, staff were amazingly attentive and courteous and they do have some parking in the compound.

Great tasting food, good service but can be better. Some waiters are excellent but some leave much to be desired, perhaps need retraining. The facilities in the hall have begun showing signs of wear and tear. Maybe time for refurbishment.

Overall it was stellar. The Good 🥇 The best dishes were not run -of-the-mill stuff. The level of finesse is clearly visible. Meat and chicken dishes all stood out ! Particularly memorable, chicken chettinad and the mutton curry. 🥇 Gulab Jamun was legendary. I went back 3 times 🥇 The setting inside Sagar nicely done up. 🥇 Service was impeccable. They just catered all our needs and various times pre-emptively served us by observing. We were here for a birthday event so your mileage may vary. The Bad 🥈 Vegetarian dishes were forgettable. The tauhu dish was flat. Paneer ? ( orange dish ) did not rise to the level of paneer i've had before. Pakora was visually interesting but taste wise very mid. Does not pop. Luckily the non-veg dishes were so memorable they overshadow these. The Ugly 🥉 Naan. The bane of high end Indian spots. Many of them can't produce a memorable naan. They should have a Salamander to keep food warm. Definately a mystery when I am having exceptional.naan on regular from the naan tandoor guys 🥉 Raw sliced tomato, onion and timun ? Unnecessary when there are many mains. 🥉 Parking is horrendous. Better to Grab from nearby or ask the guy at parking where else could park nearby, and he will mention a secret spot. Summary : Truly impressive Indian food especially the proteins.

Good food, good service. Overall very good experience with this restaurant.
