What Our Customers Say
Great tasting food, good service but can be better. Some waiters are excellent but some leave much to be desired, perhaps need retraining. The facilities in the hall have begun showing signs of wear and tear. Maybe time for refurbishment.
I went there for dinner with my family and celebrated my dad's birthday. I love the ambience felt like getting into a royal place. The service was great. The staffs were very attentive and efficient. It was a slightly price but was worth it and the food was delicious.
Had the most heartwarming lunch at this hotel in a foreign country. The food was authentic and flavorful. Every bite brought comfort. Truly grateful to find such familiar flavors so far away. Highly recommended for anyone craving a taste of home!
Delicious indian food Taste. Just mind blowing. Staff behaviour very good. Clean & hygiene restaurant. Very good service.
I came here with friends for iftar. The experience was top notch, from reservation, the table seating and ordering the food. We enjoyed the food and stayed quite a while after eating. Lucky there were not many people that night so we did have a great time there. Their hospitality is great. The interior is well decorated. The downside is parking spot. We lucky enough to able park our car in the compound. But if full house then a nearby carpark is quite a walk.
I’ve been ordering from Sagar for years now, and the food has never been disappointing. From veg to non-veg, I’ve tried almost everything on the menu. A few days ago, I visited to dine in and decided to try their Chinese menu. While the North Indian items were a hit, the Chinese dishes unfortunately were not. We ordered the Veg Hakka Noodles and Chilli Chicken. The noodles had very few vegetables and a slippery texture; it felt as though they had used pasta instead of actual noodles. I haven't encountered this type of texture in noodles anywhere else globally. The Chilli Chicken, however, was good and I have no complaints there. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, and the staff is courteous and helpful as well.
Customer service by Mr Subramanyam is good. Nice food.
If you’re around the Bangsar area, I highly recommend exploring something unique in the heart of the neighbourhood — Sagar. This place offers a truly authentic Indian dining experience. The dishes are served hot, rich in flavour, and filled with the aromatic spices that truly capture the essence of Indian cuisine. One must-try item is their Maggie Fried Chicken — perfectly crispy on the outside while remaining soft and juicy on the inside. It’s definitely a standout dish! To end your meal, don’t miss a cup of Bru coffee served in a unique clay cup, paired with their Mango Kruffle sweet, indulgent, and simply irresistible with its rich, creamy filling. Overall, it’s a great spot for anyone looking to enjoy bold flavours and a memorable dining experience. Definitely worth a visit 👍

About This Restaurant
Founded in 1998 in a modest shop lot along Jalan Kemuja, Bangsar, Sagar is where the House of Sagar story began.
At a time when Northern Indian cuisine was not widely represented in Malaysia, Sagar introduced guests to slow-simmered gravies, traditional tandoor cooking, and layered spice profiles rooted in authenticity.
Over nearly three decades, the restaurant expanded beyond its original space, becoming a familiar gathering place for families, expatriates, corporate diners, international tourists, and dignitaries.
